I have done the UN course

That sounds great, we are happy to hear you enjoyed the course and that now you want to join UNSA Barcelona! The admission process is very simple and it consists on the 3 steps you have below:

1. Send us an email

First of all, you have to write to us to secretaria@unsabarcelona.org attaching your CV (curriculum vitae) and a cover letter written in English with the reasons that drove your interest towards the association. You must also attach the Position Paper that you wrote for the final simulation of the UN course.

2. Personal interview

Subsequently, you will have an interview with two members of the Executive Board. We will ask you questions related to the topic assigned to the Position Paper, the position of the country you represented, the reasons to join us, ​​as well as your availability.

3. Final decision

We will notify  the final decision within one week after the interview. Good luck, we are waiting for you!

I am completely new

Don’t worry, you can join us anyway! We are delighted to hear that you are interested in the association and, anyway, we invite you to sign up for the next edition of the course ‘The United Nations today: challenges and future of the organization’. In your case, the admission process has the following 4 steps:

1. Send us an email

The first thing is that you write to secretaria@unsabarcelona.org attaching your CV (curriculum) and a cover letter written in English.

2. Have you ever written a Position Paper?

In case you have written some Position Paper in the past years, you must attach it to the email you send it to us. If you have not written any Position Paper, let us know and the Board of Directors will assign you:

– a country
– an elementary and basic topic
– a committee

Then you must write the Position Paper with a limit of 200 words approximately. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

3. Personal interview

Subsequently, you will have an interview with two members of the association’s Executive Board. We will ask you questions related to the topic assigned to the Position Paper, the position of the country you represented, the reasons to join us, ​​as well as your availability.

4. Final decision

We will notify  the final decision within one week after the interview. Good luck, we are waiting for you!

We are glad that you want to learn about the history and challenges faced by the United Nations, an organization that unites a total of 193 countries around the globe. In the “UN Course” section, which you will find by clicking on this link, you will find a form that you must fill out. After doing this, you will have to make the payment to the current account written there, and finally, send the bill of the operation to curs@unsabarcelona.org. Once you have followed this whole procedure, you’re totally in!

Of course! UNSA Barcelona brings together undergraduate and master's degree students from different universities in Barcelona and all around.

We encourage members to participate in the different activities we organize. Thus, the people who are part of the association contribute in those activities they choose and which represent an interest to them.

The association offers scholarships to people who have completed and passed the United Nations course, as well as to those members who have been involved in the development of activities carried out by UNSA Barcelona.

The level of work is different depending on the involvement you want to have within the association. However, by the simple fact of being a member, you will only participate in those activities that you decide by yourself.

Our relationship with associations recognized by the United Nations, such as the Association for the United Nations in Spain, allows us to be part of a network that aims to promote the fundamental aim of defending and promoting peace and human rights around the world.
